Documented History:
Dan Gurney was commissioned in 1969 by Chrysler Motors to build and run race cars for the 1970 factory-sponsored Trans-Am race series.
This car was one of three Barracudas delivered to All American Racers (AAR) as body-in-white, without production serial numbers, and was completed in June of 1970.
The car was a replacement for another Barracuda that was crashed at St. Jovite by Swede Savage. It was raced by Dan Gurney at Kent, WA and Riverside, CA. Gurney announced his retirement at the Riverside race.
After completing the 1970 season, the car was returned to Chrysler and was successfully raced in Europe.
